not every day you get to clean up almost a terabyte of db snapshots with a single awscli command. NICE

Well, https://phanpy.social is coming along nicely. What a nice fedi web client!
I'm genuinely curious if there is a way to quantify how much extra space is used by the way ActivityPub works e.g. the decentralization.
How many copies on average are made of each toot as they traverse the fediverse? Of those - how often do they get read like once and then sit never fetched again.
I'm sure since this is microblogging a massive amount of toots get posted and then never fetched. Curious if/how sharding could really help there but thats a completely different subject.
cold coffee on a saturday afternoon is a vibe.
It's the little things that element (the matrix client) has that make me happy, like the ability to turn off read-receipts entirely. Sure I'll still send them (and they get received by my server either way) but I really don't like the clutter in the UI. I also only really care whether a message was sent not necessarily if it was read and maybe I'm weird for that, but having the choice is the best part!
getting all hungup on input devices again. it feels silly to want let alone need to use a specific keyboard and trackball in order to use a computer. but if it feels better is it really bad? let alone the cool stuff that QMK allows.
something great about feeling the heat coming through the windows in the morning and checking out the solar array output is a vibe.
4400W and we aren't even to the peak of the day yet!! #solarpower
....I massively massively regret setting up a cloud load balancer that's managed through k8s.
Will it get deleted when I upgrade the helm chart? STAY TUNED
kinda realizing the slowness of matrix was always more with the matrix.org homeserver and not just element/matrix in general.
running synapse on a borderline anemic node, multiple bridges, all using ~500MB of hot memory. clients load instantly. wow.
Summer is starting to pull herself up and stand along the couch!! This is wild to see. She just learned to crawl literally ~2 weeks ago and is already advancing to "cruising" as my mom calls it.
